SPINAL CORD INJURY
A spinal cord injury (SCI) is a devastating event for the affected individual who may, as a result, develop motor, sensory, and autonomic deficits. An injury like this can cause significant functional impairments that can affect the patient’s quality of life and life expectancy. While these types of injuries are often severe, there is always hope for a better life.
At Rundorff and Bergin, we believe in a mind, body and soul approach to the patient with a spinal injury. Our main goal is to help patients with SCI’s to gain a better quality of life. We do this through pain management, improving their functional ability to help them become as independent as possible. To accomplish this, we offer:
- Neuromuscular pain management
- Prescription of adaptive equipment
- Functional lifestyle adaptions
- Maximize functional status
- Community and work re-entry and reintegration
- Disability adjustment
